The Sith Inquisitor was -- immediately before the opening scroll -- a slave; you can basically make him/her as evil or as good as you want, because this whole "Sith" thing is just superstructure to an already-lived life. (That said, it's quite intoxicating to see Royal Guards kneel at your approach.)

When my Sith Inquisitor says "The prisoners live", no one disagrees with her, because she will electrocute dissenters.
