20 days of SWTOR, day 6 [EDIT: Now with screenshots!]

How are we defining "active character" here?  Because I've got one of everything, and two of some things.  (Which would make the answer to altitis "yes," I suppose.)  But lets ignore the characters who exist only to group with friends. They don't really have headcanon and some don't even really have personalities.  (Though my two evil characters at least have personalities.  They just have scary personalities.)

Limiting it to characters with personalities and headcanon, that leaves me with... er... that's still sort of complicated.  Five?  Four and a half?

My Jedi Consular has both, but I don't play her much because I have trouble getting past my own "uck, Jedi" issues.  She's cute and sweet and I love awesome lizard dude Qyzen.  I really need to get over "uck, Jedi." *sigh*

Meet Novani.  She's fulfilling her life's dream of being a Jedi and saving the Republic. 



My Smuggler and My Agent are my highest level characters - it's time to start Chapter Two with them. But I'm kind of holding back because rushing to end game is pointless when I don't have any interest in end game.  Also, those are two of the best storylines.  I want them to last as long as possible.  (Also my favorite characters.  As if anyone reading this blog couldn't guess that.)

Meet Jezari, smuggler, Republic privateer, and general adventurer for hire.  If the Republic's ignoring your problems, she'll fix them for you.  She may even remember she's supposed to be a cynical mercenary and charge you for her services.



Meet Kyrian, one of Imperial Intelligence's best agents.  Never mind that he's more loyal to his own principles than the Empire and may possibly be operating under the delusion that life is a holovid adventure.



My Bounty Hunter is slowly catching up, but since I'm still holding out faint hope that Mako will be bisexual, I'm reluctant to get too far on her, either.  Though the storyline is another fun one.

Meet Savler.  If someone terrible has put a bounty on your head, you want her to take the job.  She'll find you, all right, but she just might be willing to cut a deal and leave your head attached.  Even if her version of diplomacy is... less than diplomatic.


My Sith Warrior is also slowly catching up, and I have no particular reservations there.  She may be the third I'll get to Chapter Two.  She's also the only character with an existing romance option I want to pursue.  Because I've heard it's all kinds of fun. (And I am all about the fun.)

Meet Daska, unusually kind-hearted Sith. She's not above using her intimidating appearance to spare people's lives. (Just ask the criminals who are probably still talking about the Sith who threatened to eat them.)

Hmmm - I can't decide whether Novani or Savler is the cutest. Might have to go with Novani since she's vaguely reminiscent of the adorable tiny Asian girl I roomed with in college. And Kyrian just looks yummy. :D

I tend to have lots of alts myself - in Aion I eventually made 7 out of 8 available classes, and in Rift I've got 5/4 (not a typo - 1 for each class on the side I like, and then one on the other side to learn the storyline there.) Had several alts in Warhammer too, though I don't remember them nearly as well. In both Warhammer and Aion my main was a plate-wearing offtank with a giant axe, and my primary alt was a glass-cannon mage, but in Rift my main is a rogue who alternates between tanking and shooting things from afar, and the plate-wearer with the axe has been demoted to alt.

I'll post screenshots in a few days, after Aion goes free-to-play and I can get in to take them.
